Art Applied Museum Trip

April 08, 2019

Well, at first we (teachers) were little in doubt whether children will like and enjoy the “more serious” place. But then we thought that nowadays children can even change the settings and download an app in your IPad/IPhones, we were quite sure that this kind of experience will benefit more that the high-tech. As studies show that, museums can provide memorable, immersive learning experiences, provoke imagination, introduce unknown worlds and subject matter, and offer unique environments for quality time.

It was unusual things to see in unusual settings and you know what, children seemed to know more than we thought! Even more, some of them knew about history of some applied art pieces!

After visiting the museum, we had a big discussion about what we have seen, what we learned, liked and disliked. Children gave some meaningful answers, they liked how old traditional costumes transformed throughout the years and how the ancient jewellery looked so heavy (right though)!

At the end of the day, we can be sure that our future stands high and bright in these little but critical thinkers hands!
